The Ashtanga System is the Yoga Sequence that every Vinyasa class is based on. Postures are linked together via the breath in a certain order. It was taught by T. Krishnamacharya, the grandfather of yoga. He taught K. Pattabhi Jois who introduced the Ashtanga system to an international audience. Ashtanga is a very dynamic form of yoga, requiring a lot of strength. In this intro class, we will take it a little easier and adjust to our abilities, slowly building up strength.
