Candlelit Yin Yoga (Ochre)

£15

To book a space please contact Ochre at ochre.s@hotmail.co.uk.

The more passive practice of Yin Yoga involves holding each pose for a longer period of time to help regulate the body’s flow of energy, creating a calming effect. It involves variations of predominantly seated and supine poses held for several minutes (with the help of props) which stretch and target the deep connective tissue between the muscles and around the joints, and the fascia throughout the body.

Ochre found yoga in 2016, coming from a background in dance, she loved the freedom yoga gave her in being able to move and connect with her body, without being defined by what it could and couldn’t do.

She completed her 200hr Hatha Yoga teacher training with the East + West Institute in Bali under Deep Kumar and Gurumukh Singh in 2018, where she gained a deeper understanding of the traditions and philosophy behind the practice, the reasons behind the poses, and how to make use of props to make the practice accessible to all.

Since then Ochre has completed trainings in Yoga for Emotional Trauma and Eating Disorders with Lisa Kaley-Isley, Yin Yoga with Murielle Burellier and Sebastian Pucelle, and Kids Yoga with TriYoga.

Ochre now enjoys teaching one-to-ones and group classes of all levels, implementing what she learnt through her journey into a unique teaching style of her own.
