FULLY BOOKED
Relieve Back Pain (Gain Better Spinal Health!), Increase Flexibility, Build a Strong Core, and Improve Body Strength & Balance! This beginners workshop will be both a fun and relaxing experience to help new students familiarise themselves with this unique form of yoga and its equipment in a safe environment. A lot of emphasis will be put on mobility work that is very close to the floor (below knee height) and learning how to master the basic techniques and poses close to the ground, some of which you will have the option of adapting and re-deploying when things are taken slightly higher (no more than hip height) for a section of the workshop.
You will learn that Aerial Yoga also known as Yoga Trapeze is NOT about fancy circus like poses and is suitable and accessible to a range of ages and body types. During the workshop you may also start to feel its benefits within your body straight away especially in the joints and in the muscles with these sensations likened to that of a massage. Aerial Yoga is particularly good for students with muscle tension, back pain, poor flexibility and weak a core. It offers a remarkable way to experience a real positive transformation as well as improving joint mobility & circulation. Aerial Yoga adds in that missing “pull” motion lacking in mat-based practice and is a useful tool for obtaining correct alignment in poses, functional strength and better balance.
“My yoga journey started in 2012 when I began to practice Iyengar regularly at Evolve Wellness Centre. Having that as my foundation I began to explore other forms of yoga such as Vinyāsa, Forrest, Hatha & Yin then finally discovered Aerial Yoga aka Yoga Trapeze in 2013.
In early 2017, I became the apprentice of Richard Holroyd, Founder of Aerial Yoga London and that Summer traveled to San Diego to qualify as a Yoga Trapeze Instructor training under the guidance of YOGABODY® Naturals Founder Lucas Rockwood. That same year I deepened my knowledge of this unique form of yoga by undertaking further training with Gravotonics lead veteran instructor Karen Finck. I am also undertaking further yoga teacher training with the Life Centre's Yoga Campus and attend regular educational workshops and study groups as part of an ongoing learning experience as both yoga teacher and practitioner.
I founded Hang Out Yoga UK in 2017 with the aim to further evolve and develop Aerial Yoga aka Yoga Trapeze in London and also available for private sessions and private group classes.“
